Green Panel

NEW FOR 2008

The Baby Show welcomes a growing number of green and ethical exhibitors providing products and information on environmentally conscious ways of bringing up baby. To reflect this trend, this year’s Show at ExCeL will feature a Green Panel session on the Comfort Pure stage with Prima Baby.

The panel will feature experts providing tips on a range of subjects from environmentally organic and fairly traded baby essentials to greening your home. Elaine Griffiths from Prima Baby, hosting the session will be joined by:

  • Jill Barker, founder of, Green Baby, a chain of London shops selling environmentally friendly baby products.
  • Representatives from Women's Environmental Network and Real Nappies for London - Rachel Eburne, Interim Director, Grace Onions, Nappy Project Volunteer and Tamara Rayment, Nappy Projects Outreach Assistant will answer your questions on washable nappies.
  • Jon Aldenton, Chief Executive of the Environment Trust providing tips on how parents can be more environmentally sound in their own homes.
  • Susie Willis from Plum Baby will be on hand to offer advice about feeding baby in the most natural, nutritious and wholesome way, and without contributing to further impact on the environment.
  • Gerrie Hawes, author of Feed Me and founder of Fresh Daisy will offer more top tips on weaning babies and feeding toddlers.
  • Ben Nickell, founder and Managing Director of GreenSteps, a supplier of eco-friendly products and building materials (29 February only)

Following initial discussions members of the audience can pose questions to the panel. The session will take place at 1.30pm daily on The Comfort Pure stage with Prima Baby.
