The new Healthcare Professional Advice Centre will be open throughout the whole Baby Show and provides you with the unique opportunity to ask either a Midwife or Health Visitor any personal question you may have about pregnancy, birth issues, parenting, feeding or child’s safety, physical or emotional development - in fact any aspect of your family’s wellbeing!

You will find the Healthcare Professional Advice Centre very welcoming as our team of Midwives and Health Visitors will be available throughout the show. There is plenty of seating, so feel free to drop by for a few minutes – even if it is just to have a chat and rest your feet!

The Healthcare Professional Advice Centre will provide plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions and any issues you want to raise with our friendly Midwives and Health Visitors subjects of particular interest to you. We look forward to meeting you!

Informal Sessions:

Our Midwives and Health Visitors will be holding sessions every day during the show on Reflexology in Pregnancy, Baby Massage and also giving Men's Massage sessions.

The Reflexology in Pregnancy and Men's Massage sessions will take place throughout the day (pop by and we'll book you in).

The Baby Massage group sessions will take place at 11am, 1pm and 3pm or you may prefer a one-to-one session, where you just need to turn up and one of our helpful Health Visitors will give you some hands-on training with a life-size doll.

NEW FOR 2008!

Dads - visit the Health Professional Advice Centre and try on our "Empathy Belly". This weighted belly will let you experience what it is like to be pregnant.

Pushy Mothers - Pregnancy and postnatal fitness professionals will be holding sessions at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm everyday.

Midwives are expert registered health professionals specialising in the provision of: health advice, support and professional midwifery care during the period of trying for a baby, pregnancy, birth, the initiation of breast feeding, post natal care and support for mothers, babies and the family in the immediate period following birth and for up to four weeks after the delivery.

Health Visitors are experts in advising and supporting parents in their parenting, advising on all issues relating to the health, development and well being of infants, toddlers and young children.
