Liz McClarnon-Cho joins The Netmums Podcast LIVE at The Baby Show
After years of IVF, heartbreak and ‘one last try’, Liz McClarnon-Cho will share her powerful journey to motherhood live on stage at The Baby Show this May.

The singer joins The Netmums Podcast LIVE hosts JB Gill and Louise Burke for an honest, emotional conversation about IVF, loss and becoming a mum against the odds.

Netmums is the official podcast and media partner for The Baby Show 2026 – and they’ll be live at Birmingham NEC on 9 May.

A story of hope, loss and ‘one last try’

Taking place on the main stage, this live episode centres on Liz’s journey through eight rounds of IVF.

She’ll open up about the emotional impact of failed cycles and two miscarriages – and the moments she truly believed motherhood might not happen at all. It’s a rare chance to hear the reality of IVF spoken about so openly – from the isolation many parents feel to the strength it takes to keep going.

The conversation will also explore the turning point. After coming to terms with life without children, Liz and her partner made the decision to try ‘one last time’. That final attempt led to a successful pregnancy – and the arrival of their son, Alexander in 2025.

Pregnancy, birth and those early newborn days

The discussion won’t shy away from the reality of pregnancy either – from Liz’s experience of pelvic girdle pain (PGP) to a birth that quickly turned intense.

From there, the focus shifts to those early newborn weeks – the mix of joy, worry and sheer adjustment that so many parents will recognise. From feeling nervous to leave the house for the first time, to the unexpected joy of small moments, it’s a refreshingly honest look at life with a new baby.

Becoming a mum later in life

A key theme throughout the live podcast is perspective.

Becoming a parent at 44, after years of trying, has shaped how Liz, who now runs No Fly Traveller on Instagram, approaches motherhood. The conversation will explore whether parenting later brings more pressure or more freedom – and what Liz would say to anyone worrying it might be ‘too late’.
