The biggest baby event of the year – The Baby Show, with MadeForMums, is coming to Olympia London from Friday 18th until Sunday 20th October. But why do so many parents recommend going to the show? We’ve compiled a list of the best reasons why the show is absolutely unmissable if you’ve got a new baby here – or on the way!
Over 200 exhibitors are there for you to browse online. Ranging from the UK’s leading baby brands, such as Britax Römer, Bugaboo, Cybex, Chicco, Ergobaby, Silver Cross, Tommee Tippee, to boutique brands you just can’t find on the high street, you’ll be spoilt for choice. From baby carriers to bouncers, strollers to sleep aids, cribs to car seats there is something for everyone.
The Baby Show is extremely lucky to host some of the UK’s best parenting experts giving advice on stage across the three days and Olympia promises to be one of the best line-ups yet! Speakers include Lucy Shrimpton, The Sleep Nanny®, nutritionist and weaning experts, Annabel Karmel and Charlotte Stirling-Reed, new for this year - hypnobirthing expert, Kemi Johnson, breastfeeding expert to the stars, Clare Byam-Cook, birth specialist and author of The Positive Birth Book, Milli Hill, infant learning expert, Dr. Robert Titzer and lactation consultant Vanessa Christie. For the first time ever there will be a Weaning Kitchen where experts will share their top weaning hacks, recipes and demo simple techniques in their interactive weaning kitchen. And there will be a new Sleep Clinic where sleep specialists will be on hand to offer advice, support and solutions to common sleep problems.
For those unsure about what buggy you should buy – one of the biggest investments a new parent will ever make, the MadeForMums Buggy Testing Track is an essential stop, where you can give your favourite strollers a test-drive before you make that big decision. And you can try on baby carriers or maternity wear, check out car seats and highchairs and experience product demonstrations from industry experts before you make that purchase. The Show also has some superb offers for those wanting to grab a bargain!
You can play spot the celeb as The Baby Show is always on the hotlist for VIPs shopping for their new arrivals. And there will be a number of celebrities sharing their real-life mum or dad stories on the stage, including Loose Women star, Stacey Solomon, star and author of Happy Mum, Happy Baby, Giovanna Fletcher, TOWIE star and new dad, Mario Falcone and Founder of YogaBlitz and reality TV star, Casey Batchelor!
Knowing what you need when you’re a new mum or dad can be a minefield but The Baby Show has everything all in one place - from the essentials to the little luxuries, saving time and energy!
The team understands that shopping with a bump or baby in tow can be a challenge and that’s why they offer excellent facilities including the Tommee Tippee Feeding Area which has plenty of food for your baby, plus a quiet breastfeeding area with comfortable seating. Lidl’s Lupilu Baby Changing Area provides a clean, safe environment to change your baby with complimentary nappies, wipes and products.
And parenting club, Emma’s Diary, will be hosting a Shop & Drop and Collect-by-Car service so you can drop things off as you go, leaving your hands free for more shopping!
Many brands use The Baby Show as a platform to launch or showcase their latest products meaning you’ll see things unveiled to the public for the very first time – including brand new launches from the likes of Stokke®, Cybex, Skip Hop and Silver Cross! Boutique brands taking to the show for the first time this year include baby fashion brand, Pickle, Totter + Tumble, who make practical memory foam playmats, nursery lighting experts, Simple & Modern, Junior Jones and weaning bib, Bibado! And, for the first time, The Baby Show will be launching an exciting new collaboration with LetsBab!
Imagine your baby was choking, got burnt or had a febrile seizure. A new parent’s worst nightmare but there will be First Aid Academy, with Channel Mum, running throughout the weekend where you can learn simple techniques that could be life-saving.
