Buy Women Built is a consumer movement shining a light on female founded brands, showing who they are and why buying from them creates a stronger, fairer economy, inspiring generations of women.

Today, Buy Women Built brings together over 2,600 female-founded consumer brands, with 1,400 actively using the Buy Women Built Kitemark and engaging in the BWB community through campaigns, activations, and retailer partnerships. By joining the movement, Buy Women Built brands gain access to the Kitemark, feature in the BWB online directory, and become part of a supportive community of like-minded female founders growing consumer brands at every stage.

Born from personal need, 90% of BWB brands were created to solve a problem their founders experienced firsthand. When shoppers simply know a product is female-founded, 30% are more likely to buy - but with the Buy Women Built Kitemark, purchase intent increases to 62%, rising to 74% among women (NielsenIQ x Buy Women Built, 2025). This visibility is translating into real commercial impact, with BWB brands growing at an average rate of 30%, compared to 3% across the total FMCG market, and contributing an estimated £90 million in incremental growth to date.
