Tools and Techniques to Support you During Labour and Birth
This session is designed for autistic, ADHD and otherwise neurodivergent expectant and new parents, including those who may only be beginning to recognise their neurodivergence.
Led by Laura, it offers a practical, reassuring look at how neurodivergence can shape the experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. We’ll explore sensory needs, communication, information processing, executive functioning and overwhelm, and what these can mean in real, everyday situations.
The focus is on helping you understand what might work better for you, which adjustments you can ask for, and how to communicate your needs with more confidence.
Laura will also share findings from the NeuroNatal Voices survey, offering valuable insight into what neurodivergent parents said helped them and what they wished had been done differently.
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of your own needs and practical ideas you can take into appointments, the birth space and life with your new baby.
