Ruby Bhogal
Ruby Bhogal first came to prominence on The Great British Bake Off in 2018. She reached the final, despite only starting baking a year earlier (learning from one of Paul Hollywood’s books) to help her through a spell of unemployment. Her wit, style and cake-making skills led to regular appearances on This Morning and Steph’s Packed Lunch and have amassed her a large social media following. Ruby's social series Around The World in 80 Cakes was viewed 80 million times, leading to the recent release of her cookbook of the same name. She is also the author of One Bake Two Ways, her debut book.
Ruby was brought up in a multi-cultural household – her Mum is from Punjab, India and her Dad grew up in Uganda. She studied architecture in Liverpool, where stayed for ten years before a stint living in New York, returning to the UK in 2017, a year before Bake Off changed her life. She is currently expecting her first child with TV presenter husband James Stewart, due in December.
