We have hand-picked a selection of eco-friendly choices for new and expectant parents, that will be available at The Baby Show with Lidl GB, ExCeL London, from 1st March to 3rd March 2024.

Eco Rascals (Stand F25)
These super cute weaning sets comprising a plate, bowl and cup are made from bamboo - a natural material, organic, recyclable, biodegradable, grown and harvested without the use of pesticides. The silicone elements are FDA-approved 100% silicone, free of plastic, BPA, PVC, lead and phthalates. All packaging is made from recycled card.
Joie (The Baby Show Café)
The Cycle Collection uses the same metal components as other Joie products, so you can rest assured they are just as safe and long-lasting, but the fabric is made from recycled water bottles. As well as helping to reduce plastic waste, these materials also use fewer resources during production than virgin materials do – and there is no compromise on quality.
Joie is taking this discarded plastic debris flowing into the oceans every year, shredding it into flakes which are then melted and spun into super soft thread which are then knitted into a high-quality durable fabric that’s comfortable and safe for baby.

Lidl GB (Stand R31)
Made from 100% biodegradable plant fibres, Lupilu biodegradable baby wipes are hypoallergenic, pH neutral and free from fragrance and alcohol. Formulated with naturally derived ingredients, including aloe vera, they are mild and gentle on sensitive newborn skin! The packaging is 100% recyclable too!
MAM (Stand J40)
MAM’s first carbon-neutral soother made from bio-renewable materials is ground-breaking and a first in the UK. The soother button, shield and steriliser box are all made from ISCC PLUS certified Circular PP, which guarantees the safety and superior product quality you would expect from a MAM product, whilst being kinder to the environment, including SkinSoft™ Silicone teat which is easily accepted by 94%* of babies, and the flat, symmetrical shape designed in association with dentists to support healthy dental development. Packed in a handy self-sterilising box, these soothers can be sterilised in just 3 minutes in the microwave. Most of the carbon emissions in a soother’s product lifecycle occur when cleaning and sterilising a soother at home. Sterilising the soother in the MAM steriliser box with a microwave saves up to 77% of CO2 emissions compared to other sterilising methods (e.g., cooking on stove top).

Did you know that lots of Milton's hygiene products are certified as green? This includes Milton Antibacterial Surface Wipes, Milton Antibacterial Surface Spray and Milton Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser. Their Baby Bottle Cleaner uses 100% plant-based cleaning agents and is 100% biodegradable and their Antibacterial Hand Gel uses 100% plant-based active ingredients from sustainable agricultural raw material (beetroot certified GMO-free).
Or Collective (Stand I38)
OR Collective is a circular business ensuring that there is no waste. All their products are sourced from brands that have an individual sustainability mission as well as strong design ethos and we ensure that the products are circulated and used between families with none of the stress of buying and re-selling. when products reach the end of their rental life they are re-sold, recycled into new fabric or donated (minimum of 10%).

Using reusable nappies can significantly reduce waste and our carbon footprint, as disposable nappies take hundreds of years to decompose and require a lot of energy and resources to produce. The DEFRA report found that disposable nappies generate up to 40% more carbon dioxide and use up to 90% more water than reusable nappies. The Nappy Den offers modern cloth nappies made from sustainable materials, helping parents save money and care for their baby's skin. They provide advice on fit, care, and making the most of cloth nappies. Switching to reusable nappies is a simple way to positively impact the environment and consider our choices as consumers.
