  1. Infant researcher Dr. Robert Titzer will talk briefly about the benefits of providing better language environments for infants and toddlers. Most of his presentation will be focused on giving parents practical tips that have been shown to help babies learn additional language skills. This is important because recent research shows that the early language environment has lasting effects on later language abilities and later reading scores. In addition, research from Stanford University found that babies who are in better language environments in the first 18 months think at faster speeds than babies than babies who are in less stimulating language environments.
